To mark the beginning of the festival, the opening night gala will be a little more special than the other nights.

We are delighted to open the festival with WE ARE TOGETHER. This is cinema at it’s most inspirational!

As well as the main feature film and selected short film, you will also be able to enjoy live performances and be stimulated by the passionate post-screening debate. Our opening films and performers will be announced shortly.

We will announce the films in competition for the Ndinadsawapanga Awards 2008 and the runners-up for the cash prize for the Do the Right Thing award, our competition for young people wanting to do the right thing by London.
