Dez Brown

 

At the age of 17 Dez Brown was on a murder charge, and convicted of manslaughter. He led a life of crime involving drugs and violence. At a time when violent crime is claiming so many victims Dez tells his inspirational personal story of how his life has been dramatically changed, of new hope and direction. Dez, now married with children, works with the police in tackling the gang and knife crime in London.  An Educational Programme he pioneered called ‘Spark2Life’ won a National Youth Justice Award in 2007.
