The story of Queen Esther has inspired men and women alike for years. Here she was: a little girl, orphaned and, it seemed, powerless. But she did one thing that changed her own life and that of her countrymen and now millions, perhaps billions of people around the world.
When her nation was in deep trouble, her uncle came to ask her for help. There was a time when he told her to hide her heritage and not let anyone know who she was. But now He tells her to speak up. “For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for your people from another place and you and your father’s house will perish. But who knows whether you have not attained royalty for such a time as this?”
That is the question to us today. For too long we have dreamt of bygone eras or have wistful longings for what the future might be. But what about what we have now! With our current technological development, our current social issues, our current communications systems, our current revelation of what is Truth. We were brought into the Kingdom for such a time as this!
Don’t be silent. Tell your story. Help others tell theirs. We come from royal lineage and that was not so we could walk around with or noses in the air. There is purpose in it. There is a purpose to that gift of speaking or writing or teaching or good financial sense or patience or boldness – all of which incidentally are required for good filmmaking. This is not the time to be silent, we were born for such a time as this. In this moment we have something to say that could be the key to help unlock someone else’s destiny. I Will Tell.
